Family Support and Wellbeing
Helping Families Thrive
Despite recent economic growth in Cambodia, many families still live in poverty or near-poverty—particularly in semi-rural communities where the benefits of tourism are rarely felt. For these families, meeting basic needs can be a daily challenge.
Without safe housing, clean water, adequate nutrition, and access to healthcare, children are at risk of poor health, disrupted development, and, in some cases, separation from their families. Poverty remains one of the leading reasons children are separated from their families and placed into institutional care—something we are committed to preventing.
Our family support programme works directly with those most in need, helping parents build stable, safe environments where their children can grow and thrive. We believe that children belong with their families, and that by strengthening households, we create better futures for the next generation.
Working closely with local communities and authorities, our social work team provides practical support and guidance tailored to each family’s situation.
Our support includes:
- Food security – Providing essential staples such as rice to families facing food insecurity
- Clean water and sanitation – Installing toilets and water filtration systems, alongside education on hygiene and health
- Healthcare access – Supporting families to access medical and dental care, including assistance with costs
- Housing support – Repairing or improving homes to ensure safe and stable living conditions
Through this work, we aim to ease immediate hardship while empowering families to care for their children and build more secure, independent futures.
Together, we can help families stay strong and give every child the chance to grow up safe, supported, and at home.
