Community Centre of Grace House Organization (Grace House) is a non-religious, non-political, Cambodian-registered NGO (registration number 580). Founded in 2008, we are located between Siem Reap and the Tonle Sap in Northwest Cambodia.
We work closely with the communities of Korkranh and Spean Chreav Villages, providing both on-site and outreach services that support children, families, and individuals facing economic hardship. Our dedicated Cambodian team — supported by volunteers, donors, fundraisers, and partner organisations from around the world — deliver programmes that strengthen education, family wellbeing, and disability support.

Our Programs
English Access Class
This class is designed for older students who are beginning their English studies for the first time. It provides a supportive environment where learners can build confidence, develop essential language skills, and progress at a pace that respects their age and experience. By starting at an appropriate level, students feel comfortable and encouraged as they take their first steps in learning English.

Dental Hygiene Program
At Grace House, children take part in daily tooth-brushing sessions to build lifelong healthy habits. Each child is provided with their own toothbrush, toothpaste, and cup, ensuring safe and personal hygiene. Alongside this routine, students receive lessons on how to care for their teeth, the importance of healthy foods, and practical ways to maintain good oral health. This program not only protects children’s smiles today but also empowers them with knowledge to prevent dental problems in the future.

Classroom Refurbishment
Grace House is committed to creating learning spaces that are safe, flexible, and inspiring. Through this program, we are replacing old-style desks and bench seats with bright, movable desks and individual chairs. This modern setup allows students to work comfortably in groups or independently, encouraging collaboration and active learning. Regular maintenance is also a key part of the program — classroom fans are replaced as needed to keep rooms cool, and ongoing repairs ensure the environment remains welcoming and functional. By investing in these upgrades, we provide children with classrooms that support both their wellbeing and their education.

Fruit Program
Once a month, children at Grace House receive fresh fruit to encourage healthy eating habits and improve nutrition. Each child enjoys their own serving, which is sometimes provided through visiting volunteers and, at other times, supported directly from the general budget. Our goal is to expand this program so that children can enjoy fruit every week, giving them more consistent access to essential vitamins and reinforcing lessons about healthy foods. This regular support would further strengthen their wellbeing and help establish lifelong healthy habits.

University and Vocational Scholarships
For many students, continuing their education is challenging due to limited financial support or family priorities that take precedence. Grace House helps bridge this gap by offering scholarships that open new opportunities and pathways, enabling students to pursue higher education and vocational training that can transform their futures. In addition, Grace House supports staff members to complete their university studies in teaching. This investment builds capacity within the organization, and the benefits ripple directly into the classroom — strengthening the quality of education and enriching the learning experience for every child.

State School Supplies Program
At the beginning of each school year, children at Grace House receive new state school uniforms, sports uniforms, shoes, and socks. They are also provided with a backpack, water bottle, and essential school resources. This program ensures that every child can attend school with confidence, properly equipped for both learning and participation in sports. By removing barriers and providing the basics, we help children focus on their education and feel proud to represent their families.

State School Support Program
Children attending state schools need “extra lessons “outside of their scheduled classes, in Khmer and Maths at the primary level. These lessons are essential for passing exams but come at a cost many families cannot afford. Grace House supports families by covering these expenses, ensuring that children receive the additional instruction they need to succeed in their education and continue progressing through school.
Extra lessons, equal opportunities
Clean Water Program
Over the years, Grace House has supported families by installing toilets and providing access to running water pumped from the ground. While this has greatly improved sanitation, the current challenge is ensuring access to safe, drinkable water. Previously, state schools supplied free clean water, but this service has now stopped. Grace House has installed a reverse-cycle filtration system, giving students and staff reliable access to clean drinking water during school hours. However, maintaining this system requires regular replacement of filters and covering electricity costs, which adds to the financial burden. Our vision is to extend this benefit to families as well, but this requires a larger filtration system and a safe way to distribute water outside school hours. Because of our strict child protection policy, families cannot enter the school grounds randomly to collect water. Developing a secure, sustainable solution will allow us to provide clean water to households while keeping children safe, healthy, and ready to learn.

Garden Project
The Two Ronnies Garden Project gives children the chance to learn by doing. Each classroom tends its own plot, experimenting with different plants and vegetables, observing growth, and exploring why some plants thrive while others struggle. This hands-on approach builds curiosity, problem-solving, and life skills, while fostering a sense of responsibility and joy in learning.

House Repairs Program
Some families supported by Grace House live in homes that require ongoing repairs to remain safe and secure. Through this program, we provide essential maintenance and improvements to ensure families have stable living conditions.
Safe homes are more than just shelter — they give children the security and stability they need to focus on their studies. By reducing risks and creating healthier living environments, this program helps families feel protected and allows children to attend school ready to learn, grow, and thrive.

Family Health and Hygiene
Grace House works alongside families to promote healthy habits and protect against illness. Responding to the needs of the community, we provide practical support throughout the year to help children and parents stay safe and well. During the wet season, mosquito nets are distributed to reduce the risk of dengue fever, and every child receives a raincoat to keep them dry on the way to school. Children are also given organic shampoo in refillable bottles, encouraging hygiene while reducing plastic waste. Our social workers keep families informed about free government vaccination programmes, ensuring that children are protected against preventable diseases. By combining education, practical resources, and ongoing family support, Grace House helps build healthier households and stronger communities.

Rice Support Program
Families experiencing hardship often struggle to afford enough food to meet their daily needs. Through the Rice Support Program, Grace House provides essential rice supplies to households facing financial pressure, ensuring children and their families have reliable access to nutritious meals.
Food security is foundational to wellbeing. When families know they have enough to eat, stress is reduced, health improves, and children are better able to focus at school. By supporting families with this basic necessity, the program strengthens stability at home and helps children arrive at school ready to learn, participate, and thrive.
